To blog or not to blog? ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ’ป

Hey Reader,

So let's talk about blogging. I do truly believe every small business owner should have a blog. It's a super low cost, yet effective marketing tool you can use to share your knowledge and expertise. You may be thinking you have no idea what to write about or you don't understand Search Engine Optimaztion (SEO) or one of many other objections. There's always a reason not to do the thing, right? Ask me how I know...๐Ÿ˜‰

The key is not to overcomplicate the process. Simple is always better and typically provides the path of least resistance to allow you to actually get the thing done, blog or anything else.

Done > Perfect

These tips will help you begin or revamp your small business blog with ease.

Start here.

  1. When it comes to topics, start with the most frequently asked questions you get from clients or customers or the things they seem to struggle with the most. Turn those questions and struggles into an educational piece of content explaining the how and why behind your process or method.
  2. ALWAYS write for your human audience first, then consider SEO. You do not need to be an SEO expert to craft a great blog. Consider utilizing a program to help with that piece of the process. Most website hosting platforms offer options for this. If you are on Wordpress, try the Yoast SEO plug in. There is a free version that really helps with SEO optimizing, not only for your blog but your website as a whole. Squarespace has built in SEO optimization with the same concept.
  3. If you are just getting started or haven't published a blog in a while, set reasonable goals. No one wants to feel behind before they ever get started. Start with once a month and if you love the process and have the time, you can begin to add more. Every time you hit publish, the process just gets easier and easier.

Bonus tip ๐Ÿ‘‰ My favorite benefit of blog posting is the ability to repurpose that content in so many ways. You can get so much good stuff out of that once piece of content.

So do you blog or do you plan to start? What's the biggest struggle for you with consistently publishing a blog? Hit reply and let us know! Seriously, we LOVE hearing from you.๐Ÿ˜Š

Cheers to your success,
Christina & Alexis

Hey Reader, What is a business brand? The short of it is, it's a the elements and components you choose to identify your brand across all of your marketing platforms.
