Hey Reader,

With this being the start of Q4, it feels like a good time to focus on all things email marketing. So last week we shared tips & strategies to help you create or revamp your lead magnet. If you missed it, just hit reply and I wlll send those tips your way!

We also went on to next steps with that oh so important Welcome Sequence. Seriously, this is a vital piece of your email marketing toolkit. The best thing about your Welcome Sequence is once you have the emails written, all you need to do is create an automation in your email marketing platform to automatically welcome your new subscribers.

Wanna go to the club? ๐Ÿ’ƒ

The Small Business Elevation Club that is. It's a community built by small business owners (us ๐Ÿซถ) for small business owners. We have live Q&A sessions, share strategies to help you move your business forward and will be kicking off our live monthly training sessions later this month. We'd love to welcome you there! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Your welcome sequence ๐Ÿ“ฉ

Regardless of how someone gets on your list, how you greet them and welcome them to your world matters. This series of emails is your chance to share who you are, more about your business and how you help all while letting your personality shine. When you are crafting your copy, write as though you are speaking directly to your ideal customer or client. Be real, be you and your audience will feel that authenticity.

This is the perfect time to begin building that know, like, trust with your people!

Your welcome sequence should be around 3 emails, give or take, depending on your unique business. And if you just start out with one, that works too! You can always add to it later.

The first (or only if you are starting with one) email in your welcome sequence should include the downloadable resource they signed up for. If it's set up to deliver a different way like through your opt in confirmation, you can still include a link to it in this first email. Quickly introduce your business and share a brief explanation of what they can expect from you. You can also ask an easy "yes/no" question about them to encourage engagement and get to know your audience better.

In the following emails, you can share more about your business, how you will show up and help your audience and share what you sale. Yes, they need to know exactly what you offer and how they can buy from you. So tell them. ๐Ÿ˜‰

You can find more strategies to help you get your Welcome Sequence up and running on our blog.

It all starts with a trigger ๐Ÿคฉ

I love automations in Kit. It's one of my most favorite things to do. Mapping out a subscriber's journey so I know they are gettting the key information they need as they come onboard just brings me joy. What can I say? ๐Ÿคฃ

So once you have your Welcome Email sequence written, it's time to create a beautiful automation because that's where the magic is. The steps will vary depending on your platform.

It goes a little something like this.

  1. An interested person subscribes through your opt in form to get your freebie.
  2. This action triggers or starts your automation.
  3. The subscribers gets the download and is added to your Welcome Sequence.
  4. Once they complete the Welcome Sequence you can add a tag, send them through another automation, add them to you weekly email list or a variety of other options.

โ€‹Kit (aff link) is hands down my favorite email marketing platform. They make all the key things like sequences and automations super easy. Check it out if you are in the process of choosing an email service provider or considering a change. Pretty sure you'll love it!

Since we are focusing on email marketing this month, it'd be great to know where you are with crafting and sending consistent emails. Hit reply and let us know. We love hearing from you and you know it's good for that engagement! ๐Ÿ˜

Cheers to your success,
Christina & Alexis

A quality lead magnet is so...

Hey Reader, What is a business brand? The short of it is, it's a the elements and components you choose to identify your brand across all of your marketing platforms. And it's important for a few different reasons like brand awareness with your audience whether that be your email subscribers, social media followers or anywhere else you "show up" as your business. One of my most favorite things about establishing your brand is once it's set up, creating your marketing designs seems to flow a...
